Song boxes

The song-boxes are available during coffee time for the children to play with. I find it fascinating to see how they are used by the children.

These song-boxes were developed from an idea of Peter Lockey of www.puppetsbypost.com

His suggestion that story sacks could be presented in a shoebox with the sides cut down was one that appealed to me. As a music group leader, I obviously made the boxes to provide further play and exploration of the songs I was doing at the time. Now there are about 12 different backgrounds that can be used to illustrate many different songs. Most of the song-boxes have places to hide things, and surprises such as squeakers for added play value.
